A technical committee will be introduced by the match coordinator at the beginning of the tournament. The technical committee will compose of Chief Referee, Chief Organizer and Match Coordinator. The committee can be tapped by the player’s before/during/after a match/s for reporting and getting a resolution for any issues/disputes that may arise. Match Coordinator will be the final and overriding authority in case of any unresolved issues and disputes.
The format adopted for the tournament will not be altered at any stage of the tournament under any circumstances.
Singles will have to be completed on the first day itself however late in the night the matches may run into. The matches will not be postponed to the next day at the request/discretion of the players. Only the match coordinator has the authority to do so and he/she will use such an authority with utmost caution.
Boards will be selected and marked well in advance by the match coordinator for the Group-A Knock Out stage for both Singles and Doubles. This will avoid any bias the players may exhibit when choosing the board/s on which they play for the knock-out matches.
Player not reporting at the venue within five minutes after the time buzzer is started for a SRR round may be given a walkover against him/her.
Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited before or during a match. The players participating under the influence of alcohol will be debarred from the tournament.
Chief Referee will appoint referees for Semifinal and Final for Group-A knockout matches. Such an appointment is based on the availability of knowledgeable and non-controversial (from past experience) players. Chief Referee will use his/her due diligence and judgment in assigning the referees.
The Lunch Time will be for at least 25 minutes. However it is recommended that players have their lunch if they complete their matches in advances during the lunch time. |
